Recorded in 1993, 'Emits A Real Bronx Cheer' wasn't actually released until 1995 on Golf Records. It was originally to be released on Boss Tuneage but due to financial commitments Aston wasn't able to do it at the time so the band ended up making an ill-considered decision to sign to Golf Records. The release received lots of airplay and positive reviews, with the band playing regularly in the UK and across Europe with the likes of Leatherface, Snuff, China Drum, Goober Patrol, Hard To Swallow, Understand and many more. With the advances in mastering Martin Nichols at The Whitehouse Studio was enlisted to weave his magic and it has really brought the mix to life. A collaboration between two old friends has resulted this in being a combined release between Helpless Dancer and Firefly Recordings. Seems like 5 minutes ago not 28 years.
Please note. Helpless Dancer have 50 colour and 100 black vinyl as do Firefly Recordings.

I bought this because I like Bear Trade.
I like this album because it's
- Punk like Leatherface
- Chuggy like The Wildhearts
- Poppy and Female Vocaled like The Go-Gos garryself
I love Pissed off female fronted Hard Core, I couldn't turn a Blind Eye to these Nottingham Neurotics. These guys rock hard & are probably one of the most kick ass records coming out of the UK. A Blind Eye to the crap on the radio, & a sensitive ear to a sensationally serious band.
HOT STUFF! James .R. Dixon
With so much shit going south in 2020 it's refreshing to see this come together and be released. Loaded with the DNA of a bunch of legendary UK punk bands its no surprise this is a Banger of a record.. Full of emotion and power from start to finish with a clear nod to Dickie Hammond (RiP) of Leatherface.. Don't pass this one up ! Dave Miller
